I use this product for pouring birdseed into my bird's feeding cups. The lid keeps the seed fresh.I had this identical product for decades, but cracks developed and it was being held together with tape. I searched for YEARS trying to find a container with a spout and lid, but even Amazon didn't have it — until recently.While the lid isn't water-tight, it is easy to remove with the versatility of a built-in strainer. It's not even necessary to actually remove the lid; just twist and pour. Think orange juice without the pulp.The material is hard plastic, not suitable for extremes of hot or cold.The included measuring spoons were a plus. Definitely recommended.
